Social dog contact with physical contact
Social walk (off leash)
In these social walks the dogs interact more intensely with one another, as they’re let off leash at times during the walk and can freely approach each other.
Your dog will learn
- appropriate behaviour when interacting with other dogs
- that you offer protection when it seeks it
- to focus on you despite other dogs being around
You as a human will learn
- to understand how dogs communicate with one another
- what to do if your dog gets excited around other dogs (positively or negatively)
- which canine behaviours are appropriate, and where we as humans should step in
- how to guide your own dog during social contact
- how to keep other dogs away from your dog
Requirements
Thanks to solid basic training, you’re able to stop your dog off-leash from approaching other human-dog teams uninvited. Your dog knows a release cue that’s already actively used in everyday life, and listens to your recall in the presence of other dogs.
Duration approx. 45 – 60 min
Participants 3 – 6 human-dog teams
Price €35 per social walk
