About me
My profile
My name is Steffi Pietzsch and I live with my two mixed-breed dogs Suki and Nemo in the Heidelberg area.
Training as a dog trainer at KynoLogisch fulfilled a big dream of mine. To me, there's nothing better than watching people and dogs grow together.
My work is built on two years of training, hands-on experience in animal welfare and numerous further training courses. What has shaped me especially is my own two dogs – they have been, and still are, my most honest and valuable teachers.
I'm also a member of the Berufsverband zertifizierter Hundetrainer e. V.
My qualificationsMy values
Both privately and professionally, honesty, respectful interaction and fairness matter a great deal to me. These values are also reflected in how I consult and design my training sessions.
Almost nothing is impossible
I especially care about working with dogs that show behaviours their owners find stressful or hard to make sense of.
Here's the good news right away: dogs learn throughout their whole lives, so there's no such thing as a "hopeless case".
Support with behavioural issues
Some examples of everyday challenges:
- Barking at other dogs or people
- Aggressive behaviour towards you or other people
- Hunting/chasing behaviour
- Constant pulling on the leash
- Fearful or insecure behaviour
- Struggling to settle down or relax
- Strong reactions to stimuli in the environment
With me you get a supportive, judgement-free assessment and practical solutions that fit you and your dog. It's important to me that your individual history and experiences are reflected in the training plan.
How I work
As a dog trainer and behaviour consultant, I'm here to support you with advice and hands-on help. It doesn't matter whether your dog is young or old, from a breeder or found its way to you through animal welfare. I meet you wherever your everyday life happens, and wherever you need support.
You can use the free intro call to get to know me and my way of working. This 20-minute call is free and non-binding, with no pressure to decide.
If you decide to work with me, the initial consultation follows, where I get to know you, your dog, your everyday life, your strengths and your challenges.
Based on that conversation I put together an individual training plan that fits your goals and you as a human-dog team.
After that, our work together begins, in the form of individual and/or group training (depending on your training goal).
It matters a great deal to me that you feel well looked after with me. My goal is to create valuable learning experiences for you and your dog by treating you as individuals and adapting the exercises to your knowledge and prior experience. For lasting training success, we always start at the easiest level of difficulty and work our way step by step towards the long-term training goal.
For something to genuinely change for the better together, it takes fair, sensibly built training, goodwill and consistent action – then almost nothing is impossible.
